Psalms 148 Commentary

Please choose a passage

We are called to direct our hearts and voices upward to the Creator who reigns supreme.

God’s eternal glory draws forth the worship of every created thing.

All of creation is summoned to reflect God’s glory through praise.

All of creation, even the uppermost realms of heaven, are summoned to declare the limitless glory of God.

All creatures are divinely summoned to worship God as the mighty Author of life.

God’s decree endures forever.

All of creation, even its deepest and most mysterious parts, exalts the LORD together.

Every element in creation proclaims that God is sovereign over nature, and their obedience to His word reassures us of His ultimate authority.

All of nature participates in a universal anthem of praise, showing us that nothing is too lofty or too ordinary to honor the LORD.

All creatures, great and small, are summoned in harmony to praise their Creator.

All earthly authorities are called to praise the Lord.

All are invited and equipped to glorify God, regardless of their age or status.

All creation sings in unison that the LORD’s name alone is worthy of praise.

God honors and strengthens His people so that they might continually praise Him.
